Advice for feeding LO

My LO has been consistently swatting at the spoon when I have tried to spoon feed him the past couple weeks.  I have been slowly introducing more table food as a result.  Well, unless it's Puffs or the Gerber veggie sticks he is not interested in eating pretty much anything else.  He may take a couple bites here and there of something else but he always wants the Gerber snacks.  I wish I had never let him have them in the first place now.  I have tried fruit, veggies, meat and cheese.  Nothing seems to be of his liking.  How do I handle this?  He needs to eat more than Puffs!  Help!

  •  Sorry, in advance.  My response is long but we have been suffering with this same issue and I started feeling desperate so I want to help if I can!

  • FOOD BEFORE ONE IS FOR FUN! Your child should still be gettingost of the nutrients he needs from bm or formula so they will not starve. That being said it takes 10 times of offering something new for some children to even accept it as food so by giving in

I agree with the advice to just keep offering other food and stop offering puffs at meal times.

  • Some of the really big hits here were

banana (give it to LO whole, they can get bites off without teeth), peas, black beans, chick peas, turnip sticks ( long and skinny, cooked soft like Bellelamb said), pears, blueberries, mozzarella
