Separate video monitor or add a camera?

I am trying to decide what to do about a video monitor for baby #2.  What are the pros and cons to adding an additonal camera to the video monitor we already have vs. buying a whole new monitor?  We have a Summer Infant Best View monitor (if that makes a difference).

    How old is your first?  I haven't used a monitor with ds since he was old enough to talk a bit...maybe 18 months.  I plan on using it for ds 2.

    We have the Summer Infant Slim.  We still use it for DD and bought an additional camera for DS.  I like to still use the camera for DD because there have been times where I've heard her coughing a good amount and I'll check her on the monitor an

    My DS will be around 26 months when the baby is born. I have heard having a video monitor after putting them in a big boy bed is so nice to have so I'd like to have a camera in each of the kids rooms ideally.

    2nd camera for the same system.  We tried many different camera combos and they interfere with each other.  We sleep on a different floor then the kids so having a monitor is still needed.

    We actually just got a video monitor for DD since she's now in a toddler bed and my god is it a lifesaver!  We already bought the additional camera for the next baby even though an audio one at that age was fine for us but why not get the other camer

    Add a camera.  I don't see the point in having 2 bases, unless you plan to send one child to stay with Grandma or something.  And, I agree with pper, the a separate monitor/camera will probably interfere with your first one.
