General vs Spinal for scheduled c/s

For those who have had either BOTH types of anesthesia or at least the general anesthesia, which did you prefer and why? Can you tell me about the risks and benefits of the general that you either encountered or were told of?

You don't want general unless it isn't an option to have otherwise. You will be "under" and unconscious for a while, and even after you are awake, you will not remember things for a bit. You will be groggy and "cloudy" feeling, and the risks are much,

You have enough to worry about with your current health problems; don't spend your time worrying about this. If you have a choice in this matter, just get a spinal. You don't want general anesthesia if you can help it.

I was under general for my c-section, and would have 100000000% rather have been awake. It was an emergent issue (DS had a low HR and my BP was so low I was in and out of consciousness) so I didn't have a choice.
