Co-Worker Just Had Baby (Story Inside)

One of the executives in my company was PG with her 3rd child. She had scheduled c-sections with her other 2 kids, so she did the same with this one.

She scheduled the delivery for next Friday the 19th. Turns out, she went into labor last night.

They baby was not even due until early Jan. She had scheduled an early c-section so she had time to recover before some major company events in Jan. and Feb.

She cracks me up. She is a major planner and I am sure the baby coming a week earlier than her schedule threw her for a real loop!

Either that, or the baby is just like her and knows that she has "things to do" in January so it got ready faster. LOL. ?

    Kismet, I am in no way flaming you but I just have a thought on the whole situation.

    I can't imagine that I would plan to have a c-section BEFORE the baby is due on purpose just to accomodate MY plans..babies stay in there a certain amount of time for a reason. In her case the baby was premature anyway but still, I cant imagine that you would do that on purpose?

    Whole thing cracks me up. I am glad they are both doing well, but she is such a planner. Having the baby a week early than her already early c-section must have thrown her for a loop!?

    I know! It was her plan for the baby, not mine! Yes, when I heard what she was doing, I was a little taken aback. But, she did talk it over with her doctor and I know that she was taking a lot of tests to be sure the baby was ready for her planned c-section. I guess the baby was ready!

    I do see your point though and thought the same thing.?

     I couldn't agree more.  My jaw just dropped when i read this.  (not directed at you withor Kismet!!!!)

    I guess when you get to be a high powered executive, even babies can't stop your schedule...Wait that is not right...

    To add a bit more context, the events that she is worried about missing are once in a lifetime kinds of things and she is planning to bring her husband, mother in law, and the baby with her on the travels. The other two kids will stay at home with the nanny (must be nice.) ? She is not going to be gone for weeks and weeks, just a few weekend trips here and there.?
