Can I mini vent?

Ok so my aunt is on medicaid, food stamps, energy assistance, basically if there is an assistance program for it, she is on it. Not because she needs it, but because her no good husband doesn't want to work anymore and she lied about how much she makes. Somehow she got approved for a breast reduction through medicaid, which I am a little peeved at because it isn't medically necessary. She was told she can't lift more than 20lbs for 6 months and she is a CNA. When she told her employer they told her they can't hold her job, basically they would need to fill her position. She thinks it's unfair that they won't hold her position even though she is not doing this for medical reasons and she won't be able to work for atleast 6 months(more if there are complications) Then she had the balls to ask me if I would help her financially if she can't get another job... Ummm NO first off you are mooching off the state, which I pay for because I work my butt off to get by, Second I already have to pay for your dumb breast reduction which I don't think medicaid should cover, and now you want me to fund your lazy *** No I don't think so...

    Um, wow.  This makes me sad because their are really people out there who are in need, but your aunt does not sound like she is one of them.  I don't get why some people would rather have something given to them when they are capable of working for it for themselves.

    I would pretty much lay it out to her. But that is me....if I was in your position. There is no way that is right, and someone needs to put her in her place a bit and let her know her behavior is not cool.

    Holy shit, that pisses me off too. I hate hate hate the people that scam the system and I hate the system that allowed those people to scam them all the while leaving families (like mine) scraping to get by. And for her to ask if you could float her some cash!? Oh hell no. HELL TO THE NO!!!

    That is ridiculous.  It's sad because there really are people who need the help and it's people like your aunt who give it a bad rep.  I don't understand people who can do that.

    I would be pretty _pissed too. DH and I know a couple that scam the system and _piss me the hell off! They're both 20 but act 10! They have a 3 or 4 month old baby and they get free medicaid, food stamps, cash assistance and their energy bills paid! We are just getting by and they are just leaching off everybody else. She gets her nails done every other week, doesn't have to work, they just bought a playstaion 3 and a wii. Those are like $300 a piece. They annoy the crap out of me. Oh, and recently I asked for the maternity clothes she borrowed back and she won't call me back or anything! Needless to say... I'm done with them. I'm not helping them out anymore.

    LOL Amen sista!!!! LOL

    My MIL is the same. She was on FMLA for a twisted ankle!!! Didn't return to her job (she worked at a dollar store) and they fired her. She thinks she can get Unemployment which I hope she doesn't get. And she's also filing for Social Security!!!! The lady is perfectly fine, she just doesn't want to work!!! Pisses me off because I work hard for my money!

    My aunt thinks it's wrong for my sister to try to get disability/social security. My sister is legally blind! she will never drive and walks around with a white cane for Christ's sake... I mean really?
