Talking

What are your LO's saying and do they say it consistently? My LO is babbling and every once and a while we hear dada or baba but its not consistent.

Re: Talking

  • Ds has been babbling dada forever it seems. This week he started saying mum mum. And he will say it on command and point to where his "mum mum" is. So I think he understands that word. :

  • DD has a pretty big vocabulary already, although it's hard to tell the difference between a lot of words without the context. She says dad, mama, cat, book, burp, poop, quack, and thanks. Plus a few others I can't think of right now. I suspect she's go

  • DD says a few words: mama, da, dog, duck, go. She seems to say them in context, although sometimes she says it randomly. She is also babbling like crazy lately. It sounds like she is having whole conversations sometimes....too cute!

  • mama, nana, baba, dada but I don't know if he knows what any of it means.  I'm starting to suspect he knows but I haven't seen any sure signs especially because he's not pointing.

Then again, I didn't believe I was feeling him move

  • We get a lot of dada. I'm pretty sure I'm nana and only mama when he's really upset. He will occasionally say hello back but that's only if I pop out from behind a corner and say it. He's played around trying to say cat. The T is rough. :)

  • @bellelamb... When did your boys typically start talking?
  • I just came on to see if other babies were talking! DD is babbling constantly but doesn't have any real words yet. I know she's not delayed but I just wanted to see if anyone else's babies weren't saying words yet. I'm working on my masters in speech path
