My son will be 3 in July and since my second son was born last August we have been able to get my oldest to only have his binky when he naps and at bed time. But I really want to get rid of it all together. Lately he hasnt been taking naps during the day so he only has it at night. But how do I get him to go without it without it being a terrible situation?

We took DD's away cold turkey at 18 months and never looked back. It was a rough few days and nights, but she was fine within a week or so.
We used the Bye Bye Binky technique and DS was weaned from his pacifier in 3 days at 15 months old with minimal whining. It worked for us...Good luck.
