EM contact! Advice needed pls

Hi everyone,

As you might have seen in my post below, we were recently contact by an EM. We're not "officially" matched yet, but we've been exchanging emails and will probably have our first phone conversation very soon. So far things are going well, but I'm so nervous about that first call. I know all the advice about "just be yourself", etc., but what do I say?!?  We've been scammed before, and I know I do have my defenses up a little, and I worry that my protecting my emotions will come off as "not excited/not interested", you know?  We're not working with an agency so we don't have a social worker to ask for advice. Sorry for the rambling message, I'm not sure what I'm looking for, but any thoughts or advice are definitely welcome!!

    Yay!  I was surprised at how comfortable the phone conversation was with DD's BM.  Maybe it was because we clicked, but the conversation flowed very naturally. You'll probably get a lot of advice to ask the EM how she's feeling and about herself
