Should I contact the dad and let him know the baby is here?

My son is 2 weeks old. I didn't contact the dad directly, but his mother did come see my son in the hospital. I don't know if she told him. Should I contact him directly and let him know my son was born? I haven't filed for child support yet, but I was planning to sometime this week. He knows I was pregnant, so he should be expecting it, right?

    Do what you think is right. I plan on letting my bd know when I give birth only b/c he's pretending he cares. However it will be the day after they're born. Not when I go into labor.

    i dont think you should. i would assume his mom would have told him. just have him served with the paternity work by the state.. If he cared he would have been around or been in contact with you through this time.
