  I've heard they are awesome. A friend of mine has already warned me that they will be a shower gift. She uses them for nursing covers too.

  They are just a layer if muslin cotton. They aren't sheer as in you can see through them that I recall but they are very lightweight

  I have like 8 [DS was a June baby] they are single layer, and awesome. I used them for everything. Nursing cover, sun shade, etc. I loved them for swaddling because you could get them super tight

  They're single layer. Not as sheer as some gauze fabrics, but Jo-Anns recently had a decent selection of printed gauzy fabrics that would definitely work as a swaddling blanket. I can get out one of DS's and measure it for you tomorrow if you want. (They'

  Another June mama here. Loved them. Yes they are kind of sheer. Not all the way see through sheer. But definitely not opaque.
