How many children were in your house growing up (silbings)? Is that way you grew up effecting your decision of how many kids you want to have?
It was just my sister and I for most of my life. My parents seperated when I was 8 and then when I was 10 my moms BF moved in with us and his kids were over 50% of the time. When I was 12 my dad's new GF moved in with him and her son was over a lot. My sister and I weren't super close until she was out of high school since we were 5 years apart. I never liked my SS because she's kind of a b*tch. I got along great with my 2 SBs though. Now my sister and I are best friends, my SS and I tolerate each others presence but don't speak outside of family functions, and I'm still close with my SBs even though they both moved far away.
We plan to have 2 children minimum but would love to have 3-4. I think my family dynamic did play a roll in my choice. I know from experience that not all siblings get along but I couldn't imagine a house without multiple children for my life. DH is also from a family of 4 where he didn't get along with one of his brothers but got along with his other brother and sister, but now that he's older gets along with both of his brothers and isn't close to his sister.
