where to buy a used bike?

My son has outgrown his trike & I would love to get him a "big boy bike" but would love to say a little cash by buying it used. I have looked at CL & have come up empty handed (ether sellers not replying to me or farther then I would like to travel for the price they are asking). Were else can I go to look? I am looking at a 12" so if anyone knows anyone looking to sell one please let me know.
