Babies: 3 - 6 Months

can CIO work at 3 months?

I know there are probably a hundred people reading this already wanting to tell me I'm a terrible mother.  Please don't.  I'm too fragile from sleep deprivation/ lack of personal space.  I honestly can't handle that right now.

I have a 12 week old that simply will not sleep off of me.  She used to sleep in the swing but now I only get a real nap if she is in the car.  I mean 10-20 min naps all day.  At night is just as bad.  10 min to the ever elusive 2 hour stretch.  Trust me 2 hours is RARE.  I honestly can't handle it anymore.  I've tried EVERYTHING.  Swaddling is a no go.  When she wakes up and can't move it's an instant 2 hour awake period.  I play white noise by her crib.  We have an established bedtime, 8:30 to 9 every night, complete with routine, dark room, white noise, breast and bedtime specific song.  She doesn't sleep with a binky, though she does use it for naps sometimes.  She spits it out before sleeping at bedtime.  I simply cannot get her to fall asleep without a having a boobie.  If she wakes up even if she isn't hungry nothing will help except a breast.

I'm not looking for her to go through the night without eating.  I'm completely aware that's not going to happen as she still eats hourly during the day.  But She goes 2-3 hours at night without eating and I would like to nix the boobie from those hours.  Rocking, swinging, bouncing, nothing works.  By that point she won't even TAKE a binky.  If she does it does no more than quiet her.

So PLEASE if you have had success with CIO at 3 months tell me how you did it!  And again, please don't tell me how horrible I am for considering it.  I feel bad enough on my own.
