I know my LO is probably a little young yet, but I was wondering when did you starting feeding your LO finger foods and what was the first finger food you gave them? TIA!
My pedi recommended Cheerios or the Gerber puffs. I bought both but have only tried the puffs. He just lets them sit in his mouth and eventually he spits it out. I'm just going to keep trying and I assume eventually he will get it.

He started eating finger foods about 6 months... And I started with the puffs and halved them! If they were whole he would sometimes choke but he's over 8 months now so he does great with all the above things I posted!
We are doing BLW (so giving finger foods instead of purees). We started at 6 months.
Since they mostly grasp in a fist, long "french-fry" shaped pieces tend to be easiest. We do long strips of toast, half of a banana, long strips of avocado
