Haircuts

I saw a post about haircuts on the 9-12 board and was going to make a clicky poll, but apparently it's still not working. So, just curious...how many of you have cut LO's hair for the first time? DD's hair is no where near long enough to cut IMO but my mom keeps asking when I'm going to take her to get it cut. She says it will help it grow longer. So--- what are your thoughts/experiences?

    LO was born with tons of hair so he's gotten three haircuts out of necessity so far! First was around 34 months i think. Done by DH. Can't imagine it would make hair grow faster though!

    I hate babies first hair cut, IMO it makes them look so much older. My older two had a ton of hair at birth but I waited until after their first bday to even have a trim. I still leave Nathan who's 2.5 long but it's been cut 2 and trimmed a bunch.

    DS is no where near needing a hair cut as he has very, very little hair.  My sister didn't get my neices hair cut til they were close to 2, but after she wishes she had gone in earlier and just got a little trim to trim the stragglers.

    It is an OWT considering that hair grows from the root and not the ends. :

    I had to cut some bangs for DD because of where her hair naturally parts, it kept falling in her face.  I just did it myself with hair cutting scissors that I use to trim my own bangs.

    No cuts necessary yet. I'm going to enjoy this super fine wispy baby hair bc with mine and my husband's thick curly and wavy hair, she's likely to have a mop top to deal with in the future. Baby hair clips slip right out.
