Gavin spiked a fever of 105.4 tonight, we plunked him in a lukewarm bath, and we think he had a febrile seizure in the tub. We took him to the ER and 4 hours later we just got home with a diagnosis of pneumonia. Which is odd, because he's really not even coughing or super congested, but luckily they did a chest x-ray to rule it out and that's what they found. Poor little man was soooooo miserable and lethargic when his temp was that high. I was so scared, the whole thing was awful but I'm so glad he's doing a little better. Hopefully we can all sleep now.
Question though -- do any of your kiddos get recurrent fevers that are super high? Gavin has a fever every few weeks and this is the 3rd one in 6 months around 105. I ask every doc we see and no one really has answers or seems concerned...
In other terrible news, we've had our house on the market for 8 months with no offers. We FINALLY had an interested buyer who attempted to make an offer tonight which should have been a good thing! However we found out that there was some effed up mistake where our community was supposed to reapply for FHA loan eligibility status, and they didn't, and now it's probably going to take 3-6 months to get FHA eligible so that someone can buy our house. Because it's highly unlikely we'll get a buyer with a conventional mortgage. I. am. devastated.

GL with the house stuff. That's so horrible. I know how bad you wanted this. Hopefully it will take less than 3 months...
That's awful about your house, too. Talk about stress overload!
I'm sorry to hear about your DS and your house! I hope Gavin is feeling better and gets well soon. When I was a kid, I used to get high fevers of 105 a lot. The drs. told us that some kids have a propensity for higher fevers. It
I am sorry about both things. I am glad they figured out what was wrong with your LO and hopefully he is on the mend.
The house stuff really stinks. Hopefully it will get worked out more quickly than they said.
