allow me to vent (DH)

I'm so annoyed this morning. DH slept in this morning and even urged me to stay in bed awake so as not to disrupt DS (he hears easily), who needed more sleep this morning. I told him I was really busy with work and he offered to take DS to daycare. DS and I were ready for a LONG time while DH was "almost ready," but he had me stick around so he could get ready without DS in the way. Already annoying...but the worst was when DH and I realized enough time had passed he would miss his train if he took DS, so I took DS. About 60-90 min after I would have if it had just been me this morning. Get the f up in the morning, DH, or do more to get ready the night before like I do (I shower the night before). And if you can't, don't make promises you can't keep that cause me to waste even MORE time.

The only good thing that came of this is that it was fun to play with DS this morning and he wanted to "paint" his nails when he was drawing so I helped him draw on them with marker. He chose magenta. DH and I are kind of subversive when it comes to gender roles so we were actually proud to send him to daycare like that, and DS LOVED the nails. He kept showing them to kids and teachers at school and talking about it. They all reacted really well, which made me happy. I would have challenged them if they had said something like, "that's for girls" or "you look like a girl" or something. FWIW DS is 90% of the time a stereotypical boy, loves trucks, etc.

That is super frustrating!

Also, G really wants to file and buff his nails when I do. Of course I don't have a problem with it.

Sheesh! My BF has the same exact problem with her DH. I think if it was me, and i'm a mean one, I would've just left and had him deal. Probably not the most friendly thing to do but it would make a point
