My DH and I are having our LO sleep in the room with us (we have a 1bed apartment anyways...) for the first few months in a bassinet, BUT we are then moving and will be designing a nursery for our Little GIrl.
I'm feeling crafty and would love to make her some things to go in her nursery for when we actually have room to provide her with one!
Does anyone have any cute projects or things they've been working on for their LO? Maybe I could borrow your ideas as inspiration for things I'd like to make for her too!
Re: Crafty Ideas for Nursery?
I just posted my crib picture and info about my projects below
Check it out!
Good luck with the nursery!
There are so many things you could do. It really depends on how crafty you are. Someone posted the other day about the fabric wrapped letters spelling out LO's name. You could make some pictures up to hang on the wall. Sew pretty much whatever you want
We've been making baby blankets! Here's a couple...
Emandia
Baby girl #1 7/11/13
Baby girl #2 4/30/15
Baby Boy Due 2/16/19!
I have made a really cute pin board, bedding, and wrapped canvas with fabric and added her name...
I just finished making initial art for our Baby M by sewing all different color pink buttons onto linen fabric. I saw the project on Etsy, and picked up the supplies at JoAnn Fabric. It was a good distraction from online shopping for baby..
Thanks for all the GREAT ideas!!! I'm on pinterest, but sometimes the ideas on there seem so overwhelming, it's nice to see what other MTBs have been able to accomplish or have found as good ideas!
I love all the pics you guys have posted! My DH
Thank you!! Ya know, one of my friends does all the sewing...I just pick out the material and she just wings it.
For the owl blanket, we bought one yard of each of the fabrics and one pack of satin binding. That one was super easy. &n
I have lots of projects I am working on!
1. Paint the room
2. Custom slipcover for the glider
3. Crib sheets
4. Burp cloths from leftover fabric scraps
.... and more!
Here are some ideas:

I had an old large picture that I didn't like any more but liked the frame. I painted the frame in white and took the picture inside, covered it with fabric and some ribbon to match the colors of the room. Then I bought some wooden letters, spray paint
