Do you ladies put your LOs down for a nap in the same way you put them down for bed? We're working on putting her down for naps in the crib, and she's doing pretty well. At night she has the white noise machine on and wears a sleepsack, so should I do the same thing during the day? She's in daycare full time during the week, so her "white noise" there is children crying and playing... and they don't usually put her in a sleep sack. I'm just not sure which way to go, and I don't want to confuse her.
Also... STMs with LOs in daycare... Have you worked with your daycare provider to make naps better, or just gone with the flow? LO naps TERRIBLY at daycare (typical is like 4, 10 minute naps... occasionally she'll go for 30 minutes to an hour but that isn't the norm). I think part of it may have been that she was getting most of her sleep at night, so we've moved her bedtime back 30 minutes and are most likely going to move it back another 30 minutes over the next week. We are doing a VERY modified CIO now that she's 4 months old (don't worry, she hasn't cried for more than 5 minutes), so should I get daycare up to speed with that and encourage them to try consistent nap times in the crib every day? They tend to leave her in the bouncer because they say she wakes up, but if they never give her a chance to suck her paci and put herself back to sleep, she's going to be in the bouncer forever.
So I guess my overall question is... should I ask daycare to consistently put her down at the same times every day to get her to nap better? Or should I let her be on her random schedule and do the same thing at home on the weekends? Thoughts?
Re: Nap question
I guess it depends on the structure of your daycare and if they have enough staff to put each child on a specific schedule. It doesn't hurt to ask and see if they can start a more regular napping routine. Bring up specific suggestions of things they co

Night time I nurse her to sleep, day time I rock and sing. She sleeps in her crib unless she fights until I give up.
We haven't managed to get her to fall asleep in her crib at night or in the day, so we're probably creating bad habits.
