Hi! I live really close to sewickley! I go to women's premier health on Ohio rover blvd and I will be delivering at sewickley valley hospital. I see dr Brian labuda but they are all great =D I work in the area too... Great neighborhood!
Your subject says you're looking for daycare, right? I live in that area and use Allie Alligator Learning Center in Warrendale, right off of 19 just south of Cranberry. So far I like it, although I've never used another daycare for comparison. Everyone is nice and my baby seems to like it. He smiles at the ladies in his room. They are also willing to use cloth diapers, which was important to me.
I have found their facebook and it looks amazing! but it is just slightly too far away. Our new home in Freedom school. right outside Rochester towards Cranberry. But if i look and that is the best so be it. It looks so nice
Allie Alligator is nice, but I understand it needs to be convenient for you too. You don't want to waste time driving an excessive amount every day. I pay $200 a week for 3 full days. There is different pricing for the number of days you need and if they are there a full day or not. I think 5 full days was only $250/wk. That's not much more than the cost of 3 days, but I prefer working less and having more time with my baby!
We use Little House Learning Center in Mars, but it could be out of your way to drive all the way down 228. I love them though if you have questions. We also toured the Kiddie Academy (I think its Wexford) and Tender Care Learning Center. I remember thinking both were fine options, but a little farther out of the way for us.
I am looking for a daycare and live in the Warrendale area. Are you still happy with Allie Alligator? Have you had any issues there?
sorry I didn't notice this posting earlier.
I am happy with Allie Alligator overall. My son really likes the caregivers and they are fine with some of my needs (cloth diapering, glass bottles, amber teething necklace). Minor issues that bug me are the main workers usually leave before I pick my baby up. There doesn't seem to be great communication with those that are there for the last hour or two. So if I have specific questions about how my baby did for that day, I need to call that day and ask or find out when I drop him off the next day. They keep track on a go-home sheet of when he ate, how much, nap times and diapers. But there aren't notes about if he had a fussy day, how many times did he spit up, did he like playing on a play mat or being held? I like and want those kind of details.
