4 month old not liking Ergo :(

This is my second baby. My first LOVED the Ergo from 3 months until nearly 2! My second baby... not so much. He is really social already and hates facing in. I had him at a museum today with my older son and he fussed while in the carrier. As soon as I took him out, faced him forward and carried him he was in heaven - smiling, laughing, kicking.

Has anyone experienced this? I really don't want to go out and buy another carrier that will face forward, but do I need to? I have to be able to put him in a carrier so that I can still tend to my 3 year old.

Have you tried a back carry? I started that around 4 months with DD.

Beco Gemini can do in and out carries. I would think he might like being on your back more, but you have to wait until he's bigger to do that (or use a woven). hth https://www.becobabycarrier.com/cat-1

How big is he? Or rather where on him does the top of the carrier come. You might try having him sit on a small blanket to give him a wee boost so he can see better.

Don't give up on it. Mine had a period (think it was about 4-6 months) where he did not like facing in but then after that phase passed, he has been fine with it ever since. During that time, I did use a FF carrier. I found the hip carry on the Ergo akwar
