Shoot. Someone asked if I was "Expecting."

Well, that was crappy. A volunteer I haven't seen in awhile gestured to my stomach and said, "oh, are you expecting?" Why do people never learn? Don't say that! I knew my shirt wasn't the BEST choice...I guess I won't be wearing it again for awhile. I just smiled and said, 'no, I just had one!" After which, to make it worse, he asked when, and I had to admit it was in December (as opposed to, say, last week). This was all in front of a co-worker and another volunteer, both of whom I'm sure were horrified.

Ugh! When are people going to learn, you should NEVER ask this question to any woman. Even if you're pretty sure she's pregnant...keep your mouth shut until she announces it or you're absolutely sure.

Ugh I know how you feel. I started taking a yoga class and a woman asked if I was working out while pregnant. I was really caught off guard so all I said was no. Some people need to learn to keep their mouths shut!

Shape wear has been my friend lately. The belly issue has gotten slightly better, but I still look pregnant if I'm not wearing the right thing. I hate it so much. I'm just ready for my body to be somewhat normal again.

sorry some people don't get it! On the other hand, its funny when you are pregnant and people struggle to ask in such a way that it won't offend. At work the women who knew me from another dept would either look at my stomach with head tilt

That's shiitty. This is why I never ever ask a woman about a possible pregnancy until she announces or its somehow confirmed. I'd hate to be the asshat that was wrong about it.
