I work in a cubicle environment so you know there are distractions. Well, on the other side of my "wall" are two of the most annoying people.
One woman is incapable of hiccuping without the world hearing - seriously, I had a client ask me what that noise was once! She does it every single day...and after each one says "excuse me." ::headdesk::
The guy who sits next to her is the loudest talker ever. I have asked him more than once to tone it down when I am on calls, and last week one of his team members actually went off on him. He was discussing his new house - so not business related - for over an hour and she had to reschedule a client call because they couldn't hear over his talking. WTF? How do you not know you are that loud?
Best part is that he knows how loud he is, but he says "I can't do anything about it" when he is talked to. Ummmm...yeah you can...talk softer!
Thank GOD he works from home two days a week and I work from home one...I only have to deal with his voice twice a week.
