Weight loss and supply

I finally got the okay to start exercising.  I am in a wedding in 4 weeks but I am a little worried about going hardcore and messing up my supply.  I am 17 pounds above my prepregnancy weight and feeling really miserable about it.  I am embarassed to even go in public because my pooch looks terrible in all my clothes.  I would really like to just lose the weight as quickly as possible, but BF my LO is more important to me. Is anyone else dealing with this?  Any advice?

  • I am just glad to hear others still have loose skin and a pooch I cant wait to get back in shape!

    We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.  

    We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.


  • You definitely can diet and exercise while BFing (I'm doing it for the 3rd time) but you definitely don't want to be too hardcore, especially this early while your supply is still building. You need enough calories for you plus about 500 for milk producti

  • Dresses and high heals. I really don't like my post baby body but today, almost 9 weeks postpartum, was the first time I manages to squeeze in an actual workout. So, you're way ahead of me.

  • Eat good calories not crap. Bounce the baby at every opportunity. Wear spanx.
  • Weight loss, exercise, and calorie counting don't seem to affect my supply. However, I am super hungry and have no self control so I haven't had much luck at getting it off quickly. I've been losing about a .5-1 pound a week and many weeks nothing happens
  • I second the Spanx.  Target has some that are awesome (and are made by the Spanx company). 

    My sister-in-laws wedding is in June and I want to be below my pre-pregnancy weight by then, but I don't have the okay to exercise until next T
