Fighting over name...

I already knew this was going to be an issue but here comes the "I want the baby named after me" argument. BF is a Jr, and wants a III. It's bad enough both his first and last names are on the top 5 most common lists... Has anyone else had to deal with this?

    Not personally, and I'm not a big fan of the "Junior" thing either.  Would it be possible to use your boyfriend's first and last name and then a middle name of your choosing?  Then you could call the baby by his middle name.

    Also, if you're not 100% on board with naming the baby after your bf, he needs to move on from that idea.

    While I don't agree with Juniors, III, IV, etc. even for married couples, there is no way I'd give my child a BF's name. Period. If a BF wanted me to even consider it, he'd have to marry me first. Then the answer would still be no, because I think it's co

    I offered a Jr. to my husband and he wasn't interested.

    If your not married the baby gets your last name (traditionally) so it wouldn't be a junior anyway.

    My DH is a 3rd and if we ever have a boy he'll be the 4th. This is something that I have known he's wanted since we were dating 7 years ago. I have worked on him over the years and made various valid points (credit confusion, doesn't he deserve his own
