Sleeping

DD is 3 weeks old today and I'm worried that we could be starting a bad habit.. She won't go to sleep unless i lay down with her. She might fall into a light sleep in grandma or dh arms but the second she is put down she will wake up so i then have to go lay with her for 15 minutes or so until she's in a deep sleep and i can transfer her into her bed.

Should i be worried about this? Do you have any tips on putting lo to sleep?

Re: Sleeping

  • Three weeks is way too early from babies to start forming bad habits. It's really survival mode at this point, so don't stress about it! Whatever works to soothe your little one so everyone can sleep!

  • thats completely normal. I hold/rock/shush my LO to a deep sleep a lot of times before transferring her to her own bed. be happy she can sleep in her own crib!

like PP said, it's survival mode. Right now (could change at ANY moment),

At what age should i worry about how she's going to sleep?

  • I have to do the exact same thing. He will not go to sleep at night unless he falls asleep on my chest and then I'll transfer him to his bed in our room. If he sleeps on me, he'll sleep for hours only waking to eat every 34 hours. When he's in his bed, he
