Babies: 3 - 6 Months

XP: Recommend a seat for me!

We currently live in an apartment that has a bar (with 3 stools), but no room for an actual kitchen or dining room table.  We have one of those clip on seats for LO, but the way that our bar is built, the leg room underneath isn't deep enough to use the clip on seat.  I was NOT happy about this, but there was really no way I could tell until I got home and put it together.  I'm happy to have the seat for restaurants, grandma's house, etc... but it's not useable at home right now. We're planning to move this summer, and will most likely be in another apartment for *at least* 6 months because we're currently in the south and are moving back to the midwest (and obviously can't find a house while we're living 1000 miles away).  We may or may not purchase a table when we move... I guess it depends on the kitchen/dining areas of our next apartment, and how much space we have.  So I'm not sure if we'll be able to use the clip on seat at that point. We aren't starting LO on solids until closer to 6 months, so it's not a big deal at the moment, but we don't have any sort of seat for DD to sit in when it's time to start eating... We don't have room for a standard high chair right now, so that option is definitely out.  Do you all have any suggestions for what we could purchase?  I don't want a bumbo because I hear chunky thighs don't fit well and we're heading in that direction.  What about the mamas & papas seat that's similar to the bumbo (comes with a tray)?  Or should I consider the fisher price space saver and just put it on the floor (with a splat mat underneath it) until we get a table with a chair it could sit on?  Any other products you know of that I could look into?  Thanks!

  • Look them up on amazon and check out the reviews. You have two months to figure that out and then how long before the move? Maybe buy something second hand for now until you know what you're dealing with. DS has a bumbo with tray and chunky thighs but

  • Oh and the flair adjusts to bar height. I removed one of our bar stools from our breakfast bar and store his chair there. It also moves down to table height and the base isn't bigger than that of a bar stool so if you could put a stool in storage it might
