I was sitting down to dinner so excited to have a small glass of wine. My baby nurse almost bit my head off and told me that was unacceptable, which I know is probably her job to do. I'm sorry but I've waited 10 months to have a glass of wine and I've read that drinking a small glass right after nursing will cycle out of your body by the next feeding (which for me is every 3 hours).
I know I am not the only one who feels this way, what are you guys doing as far as alcohol is concerned? Do I have to pump and dump for a small glass?

1) I drank a glass at Easter (first in 4 years!! I avoided all through two pregnancies and nursing LO1.) It's fine. I shouldn't have been so rigid about it with DS1. It was a really good glass of wine!

Kelly Mom has info on this.
I have never herd of this baby nurse thing but it sounds amazing.
We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013. We love her to pieces.
We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011. She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.
Also, just so you know, you don't ever actually have to pump and dump, even if you are going to drink all night. People pump and dump to avoid engorgement, but as long as you wait it out, it leaves your milk the same as it leaves your blood.
