Parenting after a Loss

Describe your LO's 4th month (plus a vent!)

DD is approaching 4 months and she has gotten very fussy at the breast lately. She won't latch on unless she's starving, so whenever I'm trying to offer the breast because it's been a while in between feedings, she is not interested. She will suck on for a second and pull off. I've tried to use a firm hand on her back to keep her on the breast, but it only upsets her more so I've given up with that.  She is so distracted by my face and by DS' noises playing in the same room. I'm so tired of shushing him.  I know we could move to another room for more quiet and less distraction but I have a nice chair to use in the living room.  Last night was awful. She usually falls asleep swaddled and stays asleep for hours, but last night every time I put her down in the crib, she would wake up and fuss. I would nurse her back to sleep and then the cycle started again. It only stopped when DH came home and rocked her to sleep.

Anyone have any insight?  Is teething a possibility? She has been sucking on her fist a lot. We don't use a paci because it made her gag up her milk and since she's already older, we don't want to start something that we have to wean her off from in a few months.

Sounds like the 4 month wakeful to me. Seriously distracted, disrupted sleep, even if an awesome sleeper previously, and general fussiness.

We fought it with a hardcore sleep routine, although she had a week where she fed in the middle of th
