Can't bring myself to get rid of baby clothes.

For mobile: Can't bring myself to get rid of baby clothes.

I really don't think we are having a third. Well, maybe. Well, that's my problem. As Benji has now outgrown 0-3 adn 3-6 month clothes, I don't know what to do with them. Should I continue to store them in case we have another? Should I consign them? Should I give them to someone who is having a boy? It's not really storing that's a problem...I can just put them in my basement. But psychologically it's like I'm being forced to make a decision on whether or not I'm having more babies right now!

  • Here's what I would do:

I would pack them up and store them in the basement for a year.  If a year comes and goes and you still haven't made a decision, then I would consign them or give them away and keep a couple of the outfits that are

  • I'm with you.  Our newborn stuff needs to go.  I'll probably consign in our local JBF sale, since I buy Nate's stuff there - maybe we'll break even.  I say, "Awww maybe a third baby?"  My DH says, "Awwww, I'm getting a vasectomy."&n

  • haha, I'm the opposite - I am shoving stuff out the door as fast as I can!

We decided to table the 3rd talk until J is in kindergarten at least so there is no way I'm going to store stuff until then just-in-case.  I already got rid

  • I'm already debating this and Mila isn't even here yet! My initial inclination is to donate all the big items since I'm 99 sure we're done. But that other 1 is holding me back...

  • I'd go through everything and save 2-3 outfits from each size that you absolutely love and anything that was super expensive (snow suit, holiday clothes, etc.) then consign/give away the rest. They're just clothes - you've got pictures of him in things wh

  • I'm having the same issue but I just can't bring myself to give them away=(.  I really feel like if I give away the clothes and toys, thats pretty much saying we're done.  And honestly, I don't think I am!  So, I just stored them in the

  • We are in the same position. I'm 90% sure we are done with 2 kids because OMG I can't even think about being pregnant and having a newborn again right now. And ya know kids are expensive, we'd need a bigger house, etc, etc, etc. But I am also not ready

  • We were so fortunate to have a friend of DH's (a co worker) give us all of DS #1 (and now #2's) clothes. It was so generous of them to pass it on that I hope to do the same for someone else having a boy.

I have done a little bit of that already

  • We only have one but have NO space to store anything so like the PPs, I keep a couple of my very favorite stuff and sell the rest.  I sell a lot through consignment but am just starting to sell a few things online.  Babycheapskate has a FB group

  • I can't get rid of mine either.  I've gotten rid of most of the generic stuff, but I bought so many outfits that he never really wore.  I can't part with them yet b/c if we do have another (even a girl!), I don't want to shell out that money aga

  • I hung on to most of DS's clothes because we were pretty sure we'd have another and I knew if we gave it away it'd be a boy.. now we're expecting a girl so I've been going through all of his old things to give them away (I have several close friends and f

  • I'm storing only what I really love. The rest is donated or sold.
  • Ugh.  Me too.  I think I'm going to start getting rid of some things...it's so hard!
