Down Syndrome

Yesterday, some blood work they took at the hospital came back that they took after seeing some markers, and my Vincent has Down Syndrome. He doesn't have the typical facial features for it, which I am hoping means a mild case.

I love my boy no matter what, and we have lots of tests set up for the future, I will do anything to get what he needs.

Do any of you ladies know of good resources on down's, or personal experiences? I am a ball of emotion.

We had some blood work that came back indicating a 1 in 100 chance of DS at 16 weeks, but after an amnio we found out LO did not have DS. But I did do a lot of research during that time waiting

I don't have any direct experience with Downs, but wanted you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts. I can't imagine all the emotions/thoughts you are experiencing, but this little boy is lucky to have such a great mama.

I'm so sorry! That must be such a shock. I have a cousin that has Downs and is in her 40's now. I love her dearly and have watched her live a very full life. It certainly isn't a death sentence by any means but I'm sure it wasn't what you were expecting.
