How do you keep babies hands warm?

In the last week we stopped swaddling but LO's hands are so cold when I feed her MOTN. Any tips? Socks on hands maybe?

  • We tried socks and cotton mittens but LO sucks and chews on his hands so much that they were soaked. We don't put anything on them now, it doesn't seem to bother him. I just hold his hands when he wakes up to eat in the MOTN.

  • Cold hands are normal due to their circulation. You don't need to worry about it. To really tell their temp, check the ears.

  • LO never kept mittens on. She wouldn't let her arms be swaddled from birth, so at first we used flip cuff onesies, then socks. Now she sucks her hands so we stopped. Her hands aren't as cold as they used to be, and I just warm them up while she eats and s
