We tried socks and cotton mittens but LO sucks and chews on his hands so much that they were soaked. We don't put anything on them now, it doesn't seem to bother him. I just hold his hands when he wakes up to eat in the MOTN.
DS pretty much always has his snuggled into his security blanket...but even on the nights they are out they don't get too cold that I'm concerned. I usually check to ensure his cheeks and head are warm.
