My H's family drives me nuts

H has a big family.  He has 3 younger brothers, they are all married and have kids.  My SIL's are all super nosey and always in everyones business.  I learned along time ago to limit my time with his family, and to watch what I say in front of my SIL's and my MIL.  My sister even told me the other day "I don't know how you put up with that family".

The latest thing is that one of my SIL's invited BM2 (SD7's mom) to my nephews birthday party (this is the same SIL that invited one of my H's other ex-gf to a party). They(H's entire family) always said how much they hated her and she was crazy, greedy and treated my SS like crap...etc.  Now all the sudden they are buddies.  Don't get me wrong, I get along just fine with BM2, but I do it for my SD.  Otherwise BM2 is not someone that I would be friends with or hang out with.  She is an odd woman.

I just don't know what to make of it.  BM2 replied to the evite as a maybe... oh well, I am just in a bad mood today:)

    Then don't make anything of it.  It's their deal. Not yours. 

    Continue to limit your time and keep to yourself at family get togethers. That's the smartest thing to do.

    I'm in the same boat but it ended up working out. We don't talk to Dh's family at all any more which is their loss and my family's gain especially around holidays and when our DS is so young.

    FWIW we would not have attended any family get tog
