Tantrums

DS is throwing tantrums and as he gets older, they seem to be getting more frequent. He gets really upset when he doesn't get what he wants. How do you deal with them? Do you redirect, try to calm he/she down, etc? I need some ideas. I can't imagine what the "terrible two's" will be like!

DS has been doing this too, sometimes he'll throw himself on the ground it's ridiculous! We kind of ignore it and redirect to something else and he's usually over it within a couple minutes. Not looking forward to 2+ either.

I had posted on this a while back bc lo throws such huge tantrums. He beats his head against walls, tables, whatever if he doesn't get his way. Thankfully it's gotten a little better since I've been ignoring it. But occasionally he will throw a major one

Yup, we have the tantrums. DS throws them everytime he doesn't get what he wants, has to leave somewhere he doesn't want to(i.e. go back inside after playtime), or gets laid down when he doesn't want to take a nap. He'll cry, kick, etc. We try once to red
