Teething question

So it's been a rough week. Last week she was diagnosed with Croup, which turned into a pretty bad cold. Today was the worst day as she has been fussy and clingy since she woke up, and was sent home from daycare for a low grade fever.

I noticed this weekend that her canine teeth are starting to come up, and I've heard that these are the worst. I'm wondering if her fussiness and temp could be from teething, since her cold hasn't bothered her the past few days. Did anyone find that the canine teeth were far worse to come in than any others?

Re: Teething question

  • Canines are almost as bad as molars, IMO. DD2 hasn't cut her canines yet, but I remember DD1's being awful. Slight temp and general fussiness could definitely be due to the teeth.

  • K has had a low grade fever and no other symptoms beside som crankiness. I'm thinking that what his is too.

  • DS canines were the worst as far as fussiness, runny nose, and just general feeling uncomfortable.  He never had a fever with any of his teeth but it is possible.

  • Yes!  While her molars took longer for each one to break through, she was so much more unhappy while getting her canines in.

  • I'm glad I'm on the right track with this- I'll be happy if it's teething and not illness. Thanks for making me feel better :)
