This is weird, right?

Since DD was able to recognize me as her mom, she's been petrified of me if I have my hair down. As she gets older, it gets worse. Sunday I was dressed and had my hair down and I went to get her out of the crib and she would not come by me. I had to put my hair up just so I could get her up. Once my hair is up she will give me the biggest hug and kiss as if she's thinking "there you are mama". Isn't she old enough to not get confused like this? I'd like to wear my hair down one day. It's not just my imagination either, on Sunday I purposely took my hair down to show everyone how she reacts. Weird, right?

  • I can't say I've ever met a child with that kind of behaviour but then again, I'm pretty sure it's been established that toddlers are weird by nature.

  • Should I stop putting my hair up? Try to get her used to my hair down?
  • a little strange but I would just start wearing your hair down more. I got glasses a few months ago because my lasik was wearing off and it confused Chase. I just wore them a little more around him and he got used to it.

She tells me its pretty, wants to "Brush it", and cant keep her hands off.&

  • DS definitely looks at me funny when I have my hair down. He's not afraid but he looks at me like I'm weird
  • So basically she's a weirdo? Man, hope this passes soon. I always look undone.
  • No, my 4 year old niece sometimes gets up in the night and is only alright with my sister when she has her white bathrobe on. If my sister is just in her pjs she freaks out and asks where her white robe is. ALSO, she does this with her dad when he tries t

  • I don't know if its that weird. I hardly ever wear my hair down, but when I do J loves it. He gets super excited and dances around and wants to touch it. Maybe just wear it down more often?

  • Every kid is picky about something, right?

Could you try playing with hair? Maybe start playing with a dolls hair, playing with her hair, and then maybe putting your hair down so she can play with your hair? I know that can be dangerous, but mayb
