Raise for Nanny?

Our nanny has been working for us for a year now and she is wonderful. What is the protocol for giving raises to a nanny- every year? Not really sure if/ when I need to give her a raise etc. Anyone have any experience or advice?

    I would agree that you may not want to do a "raise" necessarily, but some kind of bonus.  If you do a "raise" you need to be prepared to keep up with that in the future.  However, if you do a bonus type thing, it could be a gift or dollar amount
