Bradley Method/Brewer diet ladies

How many of you are following the Brewer Diet? We're starting our Bradley classes in a week, and the instructor has told me to start looking over and practicing the Brewer diet. I feel like I've been eating pretty well, and have been tracking my protein and generally get between 80-90 g/day. How important do you really think it is to follow the WHOLE thing? I feel like that's A LOT of food to pack in during a day, every day. I just can't see myself eating that much more, even if I spread it out through the day...

  • I loosely followed the diet.  I think the diet is good because it has you eat a balanced, well rounded meal.   I liked that it also focused on eating lots of protein which is important.  However, it is a lot of food in general.&nbsp

  • I think the protein part is the most important and as long as you are eating healthy otherwise, I wouldn't worry about the rest.

    I agree with the pp's. It's useful to record what you're eating and to make sure you're getting enough protein.  I did fill out my Bradley nutrition sheet each week, and it was good for me to see that I needed to up my protein intake.  I am not

  • I'm trying to follow it pretty strictly because my teacher is a stickler for it and makes us turn in nutrition sheets every week.  She has seen a lot of positive outcomes from following the diet.

  • I'm pretty skeptical of the claims coming from the Brewer Diet people. Mainly, the claim that that diet will prevent pre-e/HELLP. There is no evidence to back up this claim. Just people saying they did it and didn't get pre-e. Well, my first pregnancy

  • We started our Bradley classes 2 weeks ago. the last class was cancelled & this weeks class was cancelled also for spring break so we haven't gone over the diet portion of the book. I did read a little on it.

  • The Brewer Diet is why I can never really wholeheartedly tell anyone Bradley is a good idea. I think it stresses women out for dubious reasons and puts a pretty unattainable goal out there. The claims aren't based in any proven fact, and I don't think

  • I'm not sold on the Brewer diet. It is also advocated in Hypnobabies which is the course we're taking. However, our instructor is not a stickler for it. She wants us to consume as much protein as we comfortably can, but more importantly she emphasizes
