Naps Elsewhere

I'm curious where others put their little ones down for a nap when at other family member's houses.  Currently, I let L fall asleep in my arms but aren't sure if bringing the pack n play would be a better solution. What do y'all do for naps outside of your home? For what it's worth, L is 5.5 months and only naps for 30 mins at a time.  Thanks!

  • W is also a pretty short napper, rarely more than 1 hour, so we can usually work something out pretty easily. If we are somewhere familiar, like my mom's house, then we just put him on her bed and one of us sits in the room or lays down with him. If

  • DD naps pretty well, 1-2 hours a few times a day, though the times change based on her activity level. If we're at a family house with gear, she'll sleep in whatever they have-bouncy chair, swing or crib. Otherwise we take the straps out of her car seat,

  • LO takes a bunch of little naps throughout the day, especially if we're out and about. If we're at a friend's or family, she usually sleeps in my arms or the sling.
