Whiney vent over exhaustion!

Insomnia sucks. I had horrible insomnia 1st tri and 3rd tri wtih DS, but with that pregnancy, I'd come home from work and literally flop onto the couch and rest, so I didn't feel nearly as drained all the time. This time, no such luck. I didn't have insomnia at all 1st tri, but, the past week almost it's been in FULL swing.. and, it's kicking my rear end! It's so much more difficult to be out of the house 50+ hours a week and be a Mommy and a wife!! By the time I get home, I rush to put something together for dinner.. feed DS and myself (and DH if he's home yet).. DH usually does the clean up while I play with DS.. then bedtime for DS.. then prepping his stuff for the next day.. straightening up the house as much as I can possibly do.. showering.. and into bed.. into bed to toss adn turn for hours! Last night was up until 4:30 almost.. alarm goes off at 5:30.. I stayed in bed until 6:30.. and, my reward for that.. 2 hour commute into work. Ughhh!

It's so tough. I'm so exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open or concentrate here at work.. I was falling asleep in the car driving in.. blah! These next 3 months are going to be tough, tough, tough unless I can figure out a way to get better sleep! The worst part is, I usually fall right to sleep.. but always within the first hour I'll wake for some random reason -- having to pee, tossing/turning.. CRAZY dreams, etc.. and then, I just don't fall back to sleep!! 3 hours of sleep/night does not cut it

And, for real, one more person says to me "Oh.. you look awfully tired".. I may burst into tears!! LOL

I'm so sorry. I wish I had some good advice, insomnia sucks. Hopefully you will get some relief soon.

I can relate. I have a 3 year old who wanted me to play and read with him every day. I slept better with a newborn than when I was in the third trimester. It will pass.

I definitely do not miss the insomnia, but can not imagine what it is like with another child to look after. That must be really hard. I hope you are able to get some sleep soon!
