baby's still not sleeping thru the night, HELP!!!!

Our baby boy is almost 6mnths and hes still getting up once every night to be feed. we've tried just letting him cry hoping he will fall asleep but he doesnt seem to stop and it goes into a harder cry until we feed him. Plus he doesn't seem to want to sleep in his crib. We spent a lot of money on that crib, I'd like for it to be used. can anyone give us easier suggestions or tips to help us

  • Maybe he's hungry? The obvious answer seems to be, if your kid is hungry, feed him. If your LO is only waking once a night, you're lucky. We're still on 2-3 times a night over here. They're babies. It's what they do.

  • Thanks ladies, for your advice! I thought it was ok for him to still wake up to be feed at night but you know how other people tell you otherwise and make you feel like you're doing something wrong.
  • Brant still gets up once or twice during an 11 hour period to eat. Its normal.

  • Are you BF or FF?  Once we switched to formula, baby slept through the night and we've never looked back.

OP, please feed your kid if he's hungry.  Yes, waking up at night is inconvenient.  But sorry for ya, he's a baby.  Babies wake up at night.  If he wasn't honest to goodness hungry, then sure, read up on various sleep training metho

  • Once a night isn't bad at all!! I also get those crazy looks as though I'm doing something wrong... either a look like I'm pinching her at 3 am screaming wake up wake up or the pitiful "you poor thing" look... when I mention to certain people that she doe

  • I am jealous you're only getting up once a night!  My LO is FF and on 2 solid meals a day and still gets up 2-3 times a night to eat.  I don't expect him to STTN, but be happy yours is only getting up once.

  • Id look into some sleep training methods to get LO sleeping in the crib.

As for the one MOTN feeding--Id accept it and feel lucky. Its quite possible that your baby doesnt NEED that feeding so if its a real problem for you, you could do some

  • We are up 5 times on a good night.

Feed your LO, he is hungry.

And formula before bed to sleep better IS a myth. Sleep is developmental, they will sleep when they are ready.

  • DS still gets up once a night for a few ounces of bottle, so you are doing good! Don't let other people tell you what your baby should be doing.

We transitioned DS into his crib about two weeks ago, some nights he is good and others
