Hello ladies! So out of curiosity, how many meals a day and how many oz are your little ones having. My son is 18 weeks and a big boy, 18 lbs!! He usually will have 5 6 oz bottle around every 3 hours, I try to follow his cues and feel that I do feed him when hungry...but of course people seem to put doubts in my mind and comments such as " you don't want him to use food as confort" really do get to me. It's challenging At times as I know in the beginning our first response to every cry was..he must be hungry but as first time parents and having had him hospitalized because he was starving( milk didnt come in and I was clueless and the hospital useless!) I know sometimes food is all I have in mind but I think his eating is normal. I should mention that he does sleep through the night so I can understand the need to eat more often.
Thanks for your responses!
Re: How much formula is your lo having?
Mines a big boy, soon 16 weeks and about 16 lbs. He has five 8oz bottles every three to four hours. My midwife told me that if it was too much for the belly, LO would spit it back out. So as long as he's not spitting up a ton, I wouldn't worry too much
DD just turned 4 months and drains four 8 oz bottles a day. She STTN and eats every 4 hours. She is a big girl almost 16 lbs. Up from 6lb 5oz at birth!
Ive read you're not supposed to feed more than 32 oz a day, but that's
My son was 16 lbs 6 ounces at his 4 month appointment. He eats about 5-6 bottles per day that range 6.5-7oz. He eats every 3-3 1/2 hours and also STTN.
I have also read they are not supposed to eat more t
