Are the more expensive carriers worth the $$??

What makes an Ergo or Boba carrier soooo much more expensive than Bjorn or other less expensive brands? Can you carry a heavier baby? (therefore allowing you to use it longer?) Are they more comfortable? Or is it simply paying for the brand?

    Everyone I know who has an Ergo thinks it's awesome.  I want one.  We had a higher end Bjorn and I liked it, but it was only front carry and rated to 25lbs.  DH could do it that long, but it got too heavy for me to front carry at that weigh

    Not buying an Ergo is my major regret. I loved my Moby but didn't use it much after he was over a year old. It was great for an infant. I didn't like the Bjorn for long periods of time. Dh hated the Bjorn, claiming it hurt his shoulders ad back. I tried t

    There's a local store nearby that offers rentals. I did a google search for Maine. There are places in BoothBay and York. In not sure if either is close to you. Dh is from the Fairfield area. It is beautiful there.

    Ergos are so much more comfortable and carry much more weight. I loved mine! It's definitely worth the extra money. I started with a Bjorn and the buckle broke with my DD in it. Luckily, she was harmed but the company didn't seem to care and wouldn't do a

    We have an Ergo Performance - got it at 6 months from Babysteals to replace our Pikkolo, which is a similar idea, but was too hot in the summer.  I love the Pikkolo because we could use it from birth without an insert, but the Performance is more
