City mini double

I have read mixed reviews about using the car seat adapter for the city mini double stroller. My understanding is there is a new adapter that is easier to use but does the stroller close when the adapter is attached to the stroller? I would really prefer to use the adapter I loved when dd1 was an infant being able to keep her in the car seat and attach it to the stroller.

    I don't have the double, but on my regular city mini it folds up with the adapter just as it would without it, it just has the adapter part sticking out. I'm assuming the double is the same.

    When I used the adapter for my double, it did close, it was just much bulkier. This was a while ago, so it was the older version.

    I have the adaptor for the city mini double.  Made life so much easier to pop the baby into the stroller, especially in the colder months.  It does close with the adaptor attached, but it does stick out.
