White Blood Cells found in Urine - Question

I had a regular prenatal apt with my Doctor last Wednesday. There was white blood cells found in my urine so they sent it off for further testing. Today, I got a call that I had to make an apt so I'm going in tomorrow to see what the results are (obviously not good if their making me go in).

Have any of you had any experience like this? She mentioned it could mean infection but didn't really state what.

Also, are white blood cells the same as protein? Stupid question - but my PgAL brain is kicking in and I'm thinking the worst.. like pre-e or something.

    White blood cells aren't the same thing as protein (though they do have protein in them)- so no pre-e association.

    White blood cells in your urine usually mean an infection, and they typically send those samples to be cultured to know what type o

    I had white blood cells in my urine and my doctor said that is a sign of a UTI and prescribed macrobid.  He didn't seem too concerned so neither am I!
