crib/toddler bed rail

Looking to convert crib to toddler bed. We did not purchase the actual rail that goes with it at the time we bought the crib so now im exploring our options. The one that actually goes with it is around $130.00 but i just feel like it could be so short lived so i was wondering if anyone recommended a certain rail they used?

Saw one on One Step ahead that got great reviews just wondering if anyone had an other reccomendations.

The toddler bed is pretty close to the ground, so you might not need one at all, if you really don't want to spend the money. We had DD on a mattress and box springs on the floor for a bit before her actual bed came and didn't bother with a rail. Sh
