NBR: travel with a toddler

We are planning a vacation to cabo San lucas and DS will be 22 months old. We weren't planning on renting a car but just taking a taxi to our hotel from the airport and other places but we've never had to deal with a carseat in a taxi. Does anyone have experience with this or do you think we should just rent a car? I've heard some horror stories about driving in Mexico so I'm hesitant to rent a car.

  • In most US cities law requires that a taxi driver wait for you to install a carseat if you wish, but I have no idea about Mexico.  Forums on carseat.org might be able to answer that.
