Which hemp insert?

I want to buy some hemp or bamboo inserts for Ds. I would like to know which one is more trim? Do you only use these at night? I am just finding the mf so bulky and at nights we have compression leak issues. Also, do you just buy the large and fold them over or buy the size they are in? D's is 10 weeks and weighs 13 pounds ....yes he is a big boy :

I use the Joey Bunz premium hemp at night. The size M is perfect for the OS diapers on the largest rise. I bought size S for my newborn pockets hoping they'd be narrower. They're about the same width but shorter.
