Updated: Baby barfing??

Raylan just woke up from his nap and threw up a TON, like probably the whole bottle had before his nap... this was not a spit up.  I've never seen this before... tried to call his pedi, but they seem to have closed early.  He has no temp and seems to be happy.....but it totally freaked me out!  Is that normal???

ETA: Well he threw up again shortly after and he was REALLY upset about it... consider his brother is already in heaven that was enough to send us off to urgent care.  He doesn't appear to have anything really wrong with him, nor does he look like he has a virus.  So she was farely confused.... he had prune juice for the first time today and even though she didn't think that was it, that's my best guess b/c this was about 3 hrs after he had it.

Who knows... he got some anti-nausea medicine and hopefully will be right as rain... we shall see how tonight goes.

  • Cora did this last week. She didn't seem bothered or anything but it freaked us out! Keep your eye on him for any other changes, but it could have been just a simple upset tummy. For us, it was the first sign of a cold :(

  • DD used to throw up all the time when I had a milk oversupply.  She hadn't done that in months, until last month when she got the stomach flu.... then it was vomit non-stop.  <img src="https://community.thebump.com/cs/emoticons/emotion-6.gif" alt

  • Poor little dude! If I were in your shoes I would just assume buy some stock in a pediatricians office because my butt would be there for EVERYTHING haha. Hope he is feeling better now, the prune juice may have been too much on his little system.

  • My LO woke up Thursday morning doing this. Pedi suspected Norovirus & gave her a dose of Zofran. She was able to keep down small amounts of Pedialyte and was back to eating small amounts that evening. The Norovirus (or whatever stomach bug it was) the
