Critique My Registry Please

Hello Ladies,

I don't know why I am so stressed about this, but I am!

I have been working on our registry this weekend and I really want to make sure I have everything I need, not too much stuff and a selection of items/prices for my shower.

We are expecting a boy, but I want everything to be gender neutral (in case we decide to have a second child). I think people will buy clothes for us, so I didn't put any on there. I hope/plan to breast feed. We plan to use disposable diapers. My mom said she would buy us the crib. We will be buying a bookshelf and dresser (to use as a changing table). We plan to put the glider in the living room. I have read baby bargains and so a lot of the items are suggested by them. As a matter of personal preference, I prefer things that are not to "fussy".

So far, my mom's BFF has offered to host a shower for me (I am a FTM). I expect there will be about 30 people. Also, my work has been talking about doing a shower for me, that would be about another 20 people, but I don't expect they would buy a lot of stuff (maybe an outfit or something small). There may be other friends/family who will purchase things for us (?).

So... here is the list. Any feedback would be welcome!

There are a LOT of big items on there. Granted I do not know much about etiquette however, I would probably stick to basic things. For example if you want to put the crib on there perhaps leave off the conversion kit and rails. Just my opinion. Most regis

I would have to agree, there are quite a few large ticket items on there. I wouldn't put anything over $100 on mine, personally. I already kinda feel awkward about registering to begin with.

You mentioned your mother is buying the crib so why not take that off your registry? That would be one way to get a bigger item off of there. My mom is buying our crib so I didn't bother putting it on. That way I feel people will assume you already have a

Personally I think the key is to put things of all price ranges on there. Some people will band together to buy (for example, the office pooled together for the crib for our last baby shower) and others will buy what's in their price range. I think you sh

Personally, I think you should leave it as is. A registry is not a demand for gifts, but merely a list of items you would like to have. It's a suggestion really. People may or may not shop from it. You never know if multiple people may want to

Your registry is fine as is. People can pick or choose from smaller or larger items. I think it is fine to put big ticket items on there, because a lot of times people will band together to buy you something like PP mentioned, or family from out of tow

Your registry is a list of what you feel you need, not necessarily a list of things you expect to get (at least not all of it). Our registry is smallish, but we've been given a ton of hand me downs. We still have items that range from $2 -

I do think I have a couple family members who will spend more than $100 on a gift. MIL, BIL, my sister, my grandma...

If I take the items off, they may not know what we need?

I think your registry is fine and personally don't see the issue with having big ticket items on the list especially since you have a wide range of prices. It's a registry not a demand so I guess I'm not seeing the issue. I would never "expect" someone t

I would up the quantity on the sheets. If you ever have a baby with blowouts or the stomach flu... More is better. I would also get two of the water proof mattress covers, so if you have to wash one you have a backup.

i would put everything you need at different price points. . because people are going to buy what they are going to buy.

I would keep your crib and everything that goes with it on your registry. I know that BRU says you can return anything
